What a certificate shows

An Askofy certificate shows that the named person completed a campaign on the date shown, and, where scored, the result achieved. It carries the names and logos of the organisation and any campaign partners, and a unique code.

What it does not show

It is not a medical, professional, academic or statutory qualification. It is not CME or CPD credit unless the campaign expressly says so and the accrediting body has approved it.

Verification

  • Each certificate has a unique code and QR code that opens a verification page on askofy.com.
  • The page shows the name, campaign, organisation and date of issue. It does not show contact details or answers.
  • Anyone who has the code can verify the certificate, so share it only where you are happy for that to be seen.
  • Verification stays available for 3 years from issue, unless you ask us to remove it earlier.

Corrections

If your name is misspelled, or the certificate details are wrong, email hello@askofy.com with the certificate code. Where you can retake the campaign, the latest result is shown.

Revocation

We, or the issuing organisation, may revoke a certificate if:

  • it was obtained dishonestly, for example by taking the quiz in someone else's name
  • it was altered
  • the campaign is withdrawn for a serious error

The verification page will then show it as not valid.

Removal

You can ask us to remove your certificate from verification at privacy@askofy.com. After removal, it can no longer be verified.
